So you’ve put together a great offer to promote your salon, and now you want to attract more customers by using it in a leaflet distibution to your local area. Here’s a quick tip to increase the response rate from your “door drop”.
Put your Special Offer leaflet inside a plain white envelope and seal it shut. And don’t write anything on the front of it. Human curiosity means that we just have to open a plain white envelope to see what’s inside. So your leaflet has more attention focussed on it than all the other leaflets that are stuffed through the doors of your potential clients every day. If you’ve constructed a strong offer (as we show on the free DVD), that extra attention should increase your response rates.
Note - just as we suggested about Yellow Pages adverts, please remember to test and measure. This tip has worked for all the salons we’ve used it with, but we also made sure they kept track of the responses they got, so that they could see that the extra cost was more than equalled by the extra boost to their revenue and profits.
