Christmas is a great time to sell more retail products in your salon (think about gift vouchers as well, if you are not already). There’s a useful discussion on the Salon Geek forum, which is well worth a read - Christmas Retail Products.
Martin Duffy has some very useful suggestions for producing your own “hampers” or Christmas Gift packs, by packaging different salon retail products for different kinds of customers -
“I generally try to have some products for retail at christmas, normally priced between the £10 & £50 range, although last year I sold a £150 box of products! In the past I’ve compiled my own christmas boxes by combining themed products in nice boxes & baskets with tissue & ribbon. For example one year we had a gardener’s box with hand & nail products for worked hands, along with a bottle of lavender for any cuts etc. We also did one for expectant mothers, a body brushing & moisturising box etc etc. You could also have a box with a treatment voucher in & one or two small related products in it, say a voucher for an aromatherapy massage in a box with a massage oil, or a body wrap in a box with a body brush & moisturiser. You can get great packaging online, so it’s worth shopping about.”
