If you are designing a website for your salon or spa, or putting together adverts, leaflets, posters (or even a new logo) it’s important to have a good colour scheme that matches the professional image you want to portray. Not always easy for those of us without any graphic design training!
Take a look at the Online Color Scheme Generator. You enter a colour in the box on the left (perhaps one of the colours of your logo, or your salon’s interior design scheme), press enter, and it generates a “swatch” of complimentary colours. You can use RGB colour values (as used by programs like Photoshop or MS Word) or web colour values.
They also have a blog (though it hasn’t been updated lately) where they feature colour schemes and related resources - for example, the colours of the iPod Nano and Shuffle range.
